WISE started work in 1997, but the professional corporation is the third generation of previous firms providing building-related services directed by founder Tom Wise. The previous firms began environmental consulting in 1988, and consulted on over 2,000 projects, including some of the largest asbestos projects in the Western United States. Each of the previous firms conducted EPA-accredited environmental training courses and established an excellent reputation for service.

WISE has developed training, consulting, and in-depth experience in Lead-Based Paint, Radon and Indoor Air Quality, as a result of more recent public awareness campaigns and associated federal regulations. WISE has partnered with the University of Las Vegas’ Harry Reid Environmental Center to offer Lead-Based Paint and Fungal Remediation training in Northern Nevada. They also work on-call for a local regulatory agency, where services include identifying public environmental hazards. They have worked on projects of all sizes, and have long-term relationships with several major government agencies, hospitals, hotels, and commercial facility managers. They have worked several large projects in the Reno/Tahoe area, including the Horizon Casino, Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility, and the South Lake Tahoe Public Utility District. The firm’s services include emergency response capabilities, as well as providing accredited training to assist clients in maintaining regulatory compliance.
